Our public sector client is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to develop algorithms on structured and unstructured data for prescriptive analytics.

Our client is modernizing its IM/IT environment to support digital operations and enable technology excellence in service to Canadians. There is a requirement to support and evolve the Data and Analytics Program to ensure it continues to meet the ongoing demands of the current and future business vision and strategy, as well as comply with the Government of Canada's direction for Data Strategy and Open Government.

Task; but not limited to :

• Analyze data sets and identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Design and develop data models for specific business objectives.
• Optimize models for better performance and efficiency.
• Evaluate and select appropriate algorithms and techniques.
• Implement data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data augmentation techniques.
• Build and deploy pipelines and workflows.
• Experiment with different models and parameters to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Visualize and communicate insights and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Interpret model outputs and provide actionable recommendations based on results.
• Integrate models into existing software systems or platforms.
• Fine-tune models for better accuracy, precision, recall, or other metrics.
• Conduct testing and experiments to validate model performance.
• Apply statistical analysis and hypothesis testing for model validation and insights.
• Assist in setting up and managing cloud-based or on-premises data science infrastructure.

Must Haves

• Secret Clearance
• 5 years of Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Nice To Have

• 7 years of experience in Information Architecture
• 7 years of experience building, deploying, and integrating models into virtual data centers
• University Degree, or 2 year College Diploma
