HJ Develop & Construction Ltd. in Edmonton, Alberta is looking for a highly qualified carpenter.
Requirements:
Over 4 years of experience in carpentry
Completion of high school education is required
Basic English speaking is required
Terms of Employment: Full-Time and Permanent
Wage: C$ 30.00 / hour
Working Hours: 35 hours / week
Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation per year
Location of Work: 8925 82 Avenue, Edmonton, AB
Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate commercial and residential building and other establishments
- Supervise apprentices and other construction workers
