The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

? Successful completion of Grade 12 required
? Graduate of Post-Secondary program preferred

Skill, Ability and Experience:

? Basic proficiency in the use of computers required
? Ability to meet the physical demands of this job required
? Knowledge of proper lifting techniques required
? Recent experience working in a Healthcare environment preferred
? Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Principal Duties:

? Transports patients to treatment rooms using wheelchair, stretcher or ambulatory
? May assist the Registered Technologist in transferring patients onto the Imaging table
? Places out-patients in dressing cubicle to change for Imaging examinations
? Cleans gastric preparation areas
? Operates Typhoon cleaning system according to procedure
? Attends to all linen supply requirements
? Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
? Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
? Other related duties as assigned

Selection will be made on the basis of ability, experience and qualifications as per Article 11.04 of the SEIU Collective Agreement
