Main functions: 
The key responsibilities of the Emergency Response Planner will be as follows:

• Meet with clients to gather all pertinent ERP and safety related information.
• Write Corporate, Pipeline/Facility, and Drilling/Completions Emergency Response Plans.
• Coordinate the activities of Black Gold support staff and ensure communication between the many individuals in the different Black Gold departments.
• Manage client and /or resident concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Liaise with appropriate Government agencies to coordinate ERP roles and responsibilities
• Complete AER, OGC and /or Saskatchewan ECON submissions.
• Prepare for, attend, and complete action items for weekly staff meetings.
• Participate in ERP training and full scale exercises.
• Help develop Public Awareness Programs.
• Maintain client stakeholder databases.
• Attend and help facilitate client Town Hall meetings.
• Update and track client Emergency Response Plans as required.

Detailed description: 
Black Gold is seeking an Emergency Response Planner who is a motivated professional, eager to join an exciting company that has demonstrated continuous growth. This individual should have post secondary education or an equivalent technical diploma. This highly organized individual must have good computer software knowledge and expertise. There is also a requirement for petroleum land knowledge, ICS certification, as well as a high level of expertise in dealing with sour gas operations.

Qualifications required: 
• Education or equivalent experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Ability to work both as a member of a team and individually.
• Should have knowledge of Government Regulations (familiar with AER D56, D60 and D71; OGC handbook; Sask ECON regulations).
• In order to be successful, the Emergency Response Planner must have excellent time management skills and possess strong problem solving abilities.
• Previous management experience and a consulting business background is a definite asset.
• Experience with AER H2S Models an asset.
