Your responsibilities are to promote independence, encourage relationships, and tailor relevant supports for people acting as coach, facilitator, and an advocate; reinforcing skills and abilities and foster meaningful involvement, and meaningful relationships. This position will provide a diverse and engaging opportunity for someone with a comprehensive knowledge of the sector and 3 plus years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience.

Working experience
Qualifications required: 
• Completed Diploma in Disabilities Studies, equivalencies of High school and/or special training from an accredited school augmented with relevant 2-3 years direct experience in disabilities may be considered, with 3 plus years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience.
• Intermediate skills and progressive knowledge of Microsoft Suite- Outlook , Word , Excel and Calendar, the intranet, satisfactory internet skills, ability to research and use various resources to understand and meet goals, use of basic database and analysis tools.
• Functional understanding of community resources available, aptitude to liaise with resources, services, programs and community partners , build and strengthen community both existing and new opportunities.
• Compatible attitude and philosophy with SPAN’s values and mission
• Class 5 Drivers License (preferred)
• Criminal Record Check (4 weeks from commencement)
