We are looking for a Class 1 Mountain Highway Side/End Dumping Unit Driver.
If you have a minimum of three years Mountain Driving and or End Dumping Unit experience; come be a part of our GREAT Team.

Detailed description: 
Familiarize yourself with all aspects of the company. An employee should be open-minded towards new tasks and ideas that are brought up by management or personnel. Be inquisitive—ask questions if you do not understand. Familiarize yourself with shop inventory, personnel, and equipment—know what is there and where it is kept.

Drivers should know everything about their unit:
Type of engine
Type of transmission
Tire size
Gross and Net vehicle weight
Allowable weights on each axle
Serial and license plate numbers
Proper insurance and registration in the vehicle
Unit number for each company we work for
Know your vehicle limits and personal limits for what you can do or haul
Know the general condition of your truck daily

Know your Truck’s Fluids:

General – HD 40 W
Cats and Cummins – HD 15W40
Freightliner – Red Ram Gear Oil
Red Ram Tranny Fluid
All 13, 15, 18 and 20 Speed Trans - HD 50 W Motor Oil
*NEW TRUCKS – Synthetic Oil *
All Rear Ends have 80 W 90 gear oil * NEW TRUCKS – Synthetic Oil *
Hydraulics – All Season
Power Steering – Dextose Power Steering Fluid * NEW TRUCKS – 30 W Oil *
Manual Steering Boxes – Special White Grease (See shop personnel)
Radiators - Check with the shop personnel to see what quantity of water and antifreeze are being used—NEVER JUST ADD WATER.

Daily Inspections Prior to End of Shift:

Trucks plugged in when necessary and block heaters working
Last driver out of the compound to lock the gates.
Pre-trip inspections before you go to work
En route inspections twice a day or every two traveling hours
Post-trip inspections when you are done for the day.

When Dispatched Make Sure You Are Aware Of:

The proper name of the company(s) you are dispatched to
Where you will be loading and unloading
What you are hauling
If you are working by rate – time needed to make a load
Your proper paperwork
Numbers from company we are working for i.e. PO numbers if applicable
Configuration of trailers
For out of town—Special instructions for loading or unloading
For out of town—Special safety equipment or placards for handling
For out of town—Special tarping or sealing instructions or requirements

When Filling out Your Bills:

Correct date, unit number, company name, job site and dump location
Your bill is signed by the customer
Proper rate and configuration for the truck used
All fuel receipts are included with your bills
You haul maximum legal weight for your truck configuration
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are bills to be changed after the customer has signed it unless the customer initials the change.
Secondary bill numbers (ex. From Nordegg Lime) must be on your Ron Singer Haul Card and your Ron Singer Haul Card number must be written on your Nordegg Lime bill so that administration may match these up easier

Check Trucks at the end of the day for:

Turned tires, rims or flat tires
Tailgates latched properly
Trucks clean—dash wiped, cab swept out, box clean, tarp rolled up
Time filled out and handed in daily—unit number, type of unit, fuel and number of loads or weights if applicable. Out of town paperwork completed at the end of each trip and handed in.
Truck fueled if necessary and air tanks drained.
