Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in downtown Toronto is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Associate Advisor to join a dynamic and fast growing team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for executing and settling trades, monitoring trading systems, managing fixed income and equity models and ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are met. The ideal person should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial markets. In collaboration with the rest of the team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our trading activities. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the financial markets, we invite you to apply and be a valuable part of our team.What will you do?Execute and confirm trades on various financial instruments in accordance with established procedures.Ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades, collaborating with custodians and counterparties.Conduct post trade reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies.Work closely with the compliance teams to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.Collaborate with portfolio managers, other team members and other departments to support efficient trading operations.Participate in the development and enhancement of trading processes and workflows.Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations and technological advancements in trading.Provide trade surveillance and ensure accuracy of portfolio holdings relative to the Investment Policy Statement.Work with Portfolio Manager to develop, maintain and rebalance the investment models.Assisting Portfolio Manager with market research as it relates to current positions and potential changes.Coordinate position maintenance, book cost accuracy and execution of corporate reorganizations.Monitor fixed income maturities for reinvestment.Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail.
