Salary: $15.50/hr
Overtime: As per provincial standards for farm workers/managers (time-and-a-half)

Position Description:
Maskeen Blueberry Farms Ltd. is seeking 3 farm supervisors for various duties. We are a
close-knit family and we're looking for enthusiastic and high energy, experienced people
who are have what it takes to take on supervisory roles and the responsibility and care of
our land and helpers.
Qualifications/Desirables:
o Post-Secondary Diploma/Certificate in Agriculture/Rural Staff Management or other
specialized training preferred; or equivalent Real-Life, hands-on experience of at least
2-3 years of supervising and organizing workers
o Well-developed technical skills at all aspects of farm operations
o A valid drivers' license
Position Duties:
o Schedule and oversee the work of general farm labourors and pickers
o Co-ordinate harvesting activities to ensure peak efficiency
o Perform practical activities, ie: drive tractors, operate machinery, spray fields, inspect
sprinklers, etc.
o Arranging the maintenance and repair of farm buildings, machinery and equipment
o Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how
they spread and how to treat them
o Train new staff and ensure that they are aware of company policies and are given role
clarity and to enable them to competently carry out tasks required of them
o Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are understood and strictly
adhered to
o Promote and project a positive attitude towards the Farm and its' objectives
o Perform general farm duties as needed

o Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively
o The ability to take initiative and handle whatever situation that may arise
o Must be flexible in nature in order to roll with ever-changing conditions
o Must know how to get people working together and enable teamwork
