Main functions: 
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Painter will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the perception and appearance of the property. The Painter will own the painting standards in all vacated apartments and other areas of our buildings and see that they are painted to "market ready" status in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Inspect and paint vacated apartments and complete required paperwork
* Complete major repaint projects as directed by Maintenance Manager including hallways, common areas and office space
* Communicate with maintenance manager concerning particular apartments that need painting in order of priority
* Work at a pace to allow the maintenance technicians to complete their functions in the turnover process
* Report to maintenance manager when paint and/or supplies are low
* Repair all damages incurred in walls, caulks tubs and ceramic tile.
* Perform all tasks in a neat and efficient manner. This includes cleaning all brushes, rollers and equipment and returning equipment to their designated storage facility at the end of each day
* Use protective equipment when necessary while following all safety procedures
* Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:
* High School diploma/ GED completion
* 1 to 2 years in the painting trade or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade
* Skill in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces
* Ability to follow procedures concerning Residential Tenancy Branch regulations
* Must be in good physical condition with mobility and flexibility to use ladders and access work in confined spaces
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Working Conditions
* Travel to other sites may be required
* Overtime as required and flexibility in schedule during month end
* Standing for extended periods of time
* This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes and oils
