Our Client, a prominent warehousing and distribution provider is seeking a self-motivated, organized and detail orientated individual to join their team in Winnipeg as a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial refrigeration systems and will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Our Client continues to ensure an unparalleled quality of service through experienced management.

Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs of industrial refrigeration systems
• Document and report on all equipment through a preventative maintenance program
• Respond to emergencies in the Powerhouse and Building systems
• Take on a team leadership role in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor
• Compliance with Canadian Food Inspection Agency building and food storage practices

Qualifications:
• Refrigeration Red Seal certification is required
• Pursuit of 4th class (refrigeration) Engineer certification is required (education costs will be reimbursed upon successful completion)
• A ‘B’ gas fitters license and an understanding of ammonia systems is an asset
• Demonstrated experience with commercial Freon Systems, VFDs, and PLCs is required
• Must have a strong electrical background with a working knowledge of piping practices and mechanical codes
