• Undertake a landscape-scale GIS habitat analysis and strategic planning for the Upper St. John River (USJR) study area following a pre-existing methodology.
• Sensitivity analysis and site validation of newly developed habitat maps.
• Lead the development of a New Brunswick conserved lands database and associated spatial products following a pre-existing methodology.
• Update Nature Trust preserve maps and other spatial products as required.
Research and writing
• Undertake literature review and report writing to support strategic conservation planning in the Upper St. John River region.

• Advanced GIS skills (minimum ArcGIS10.0).
• University degree in geography, planning, environment, biology, forestry, agriculture, natural resource management, or other relevant fields.
• Strong research skills.
• Independent worker, initiative-taker, and able to multi-task.
Additional desirable experience
• Advanced degree in biology or ecology with field experience.
• An understanding of the Nature Trust’s work and the regions in which they work.
• Experience in conservation planning and prioritization of lands for conservation.
• Bilingualism is considered an asset.
