What we need:

An administrative professional who enjoys working independently with minimal contact with our patients and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the distribution of electronic images, receipt and monitoring of incoming requests for service, scheduling of appointments, answering the phone, filing, managing the long term film archive and manage the telephone decision tree.  Excellent customer service skill is needed to respond to client issues regarding the timely receipt of reports, results and consultation letters for patients referred to our Markham and Uxbridge sites for a variety of services including diagnostic, clinics and the Emergency Department. 

 

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Completion of a post secondary school Medical Office Administration program
  • Knowledge of the Meditech  Hospital Information Systems preferably  Community Wide Scheduling  and ITS
  • Previous experience in an Electronic Image Management role is an asset
  • Proficient computer skills, knowledge of the Agfa IMPAX software
  • Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality principles and legislation
  • Accustomed to working with business machines and integrated software programs
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and process issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a member of the Diagnostic team
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate will work days Monday to Friday days (rotating between 0700 - 1500, 0730-1530 and 0800-1600). Please note schedule may change due to operational needs. 

 

 

Compensation:

BAND CUP C03: $24.38 - $29.17 per hour
