Interior Health's Kamloops Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Services based in Lansdowne Centre, has an immediate term specific, full time Occupational Therapist opening.

This position's location is flexible within the Interior Health region offering hybrid virtual work.

Kamloops MHSU and partner agencies provide a range of mental health and substance use services for all ages striving to ensure that services are welcoming of all peoples, gender identities, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds. This position is surrounded by a very supportive Occupational Therapy team including other members of the interdisciplinary team (i.e. Life Skill Workers, Physicians, Nurses, and Allied Team).

This unique position offers the successful Occupational Therapist an opportunity to certify in Action Based Cognitive Remediation (ABCR) and to provide ABCR for the duration of the provincial pilot program. It is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the MHSU services team. This is a regional position that may require some regional travel and virtual intervention. A valid driver's license is required and access to a personal vehicle may be required.

An Occupational Therapist plays a crucial part in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. You will provide work direction to the Rehabilitation Assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regard to transfer of function.

Qualfications
? Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
? Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
? Valid Driver's license.
