Prins Greenhouses has been building commercial greenhouses since 1981. Our customers grow a variety of crops ranging from vegetables to flowers, and from nursery stock to tree seedlings. We also count a number of governmental agencies and institutions among our clientele. Reporting to the Project Engineer, the Project Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the overall planning and coordinating of construction activities and timelines to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities: • Edit, proof-read and compile quotes, contracts and checklists • Create, maintain and distribute Project Binders and Manuals for Projects • Coordinate with structural, geotechnical and civil engineers regarding permit applications and jobsite inspections • Order project-related materials or systems and follow up on delivery with suppliers • Administration of Purchase Orders and Supplier Contracts • Work with Project Engineer to prepare change orders, estimates and costs. • Keep pricing up to date in estimating software • Conduct Health and Safety meetings for new projects, submit Notices of Project for WCB, distribute WCB forms for site safety meetings • Keep Health and Safety Manual updated • Prepare deficiency lists for projects and collect documentation for closing out contracts • Assist Sales with drawings and documentation Requirements: • Technical knowledge of mechanical systems is required • Project management knowledge and abilities • Read and understand construction drawings and documents • Sound computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word , MS Project, ability to use AutoCad is an asset • Ability to work accurately under pressure • Ability to resolve concerns in a proactive manner • Adaptable/flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines • Valid driver’s license • Some travel to project sites will be required www.prinsgreenhouses.com
