DHT ELECTRIC SERVICE is currently recruiting for a registered Construction and Maintenance Electrician (Apprentice 309 A) to join our team.
DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Construction and Maintenance Electrician (Apprentice)

JOB LOCATION: All running projects in Greater Toronto Area
CITY: Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Scarborough and Markham.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Mandatory qualifications:
• Must be a registered construction and maintenance apprentice (309A) under Ontario College of Trades.
• College Diploma/Certificate in electrical from Canadian Recognised Educational Institute
• More than 1-year experience working in construction electricals
• Mandatory requires “working at heights training” from ministry of labour
• Must be able to understand and implement electrical designs
• Valid Class Ontario G driver’s licence and Clean driver’s abstract
• Own electrical tools and personal safety equipment
• Must have own commercial vehicle to carry tools, ladder and other equipment
Other qualifications:
• Strong communication and customer service skills and experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and organize work
• Must be familiar with Greater Toronto Area and major highways (Hwy 401/403/410)
• Have valid health and safety, scissor lift and fall protection
• Willing and able to work at heights
• Willing and able to work evenings and on call
JOB DESCRIPTION:
His duties for this position include following but not limited to:
• Responsible for implementing the drawing and design to install wiring.
• Installation as well as repair of lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays circuit breaker panels.
• Pulling the wires from holes and walls for proper configuration of design and installing brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment when required.
• Testing and verifying all the connections and electrical appliances after completion of the projects.
• Hanging fixtures using sky jack lift
• Troubleshooting and isolating the faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove or replace faulty components
• Maintain all the records of devices installed as well as maintenance.
• Follow emergency procedure of electrical fault issues
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: wage $31.00 per hour. Emergency call premiums. Mileage and parking expenses will be paid. 4% (10 days) paid vacation.
START DATE: ASAP
WORK HOURS: Minimum 32 Per week. May require some weekends and evenings hours.
