Main functions: 
1. Participate in the design of hardscape and landscape concrete design and restoration of decorative patio or garden;
2. Read blueprints, materials required and the work that needs to be in place;
3. Shape, trim, face and cut natural-cut stones, artificial stones, interlocking stones and marble preparatory to setting, using power tools (power saw), cutting equipment, and hand tools;
4. Mix mortar and pour/spread mortar;
5. Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to accurately determine the marble slabs, stone, or foundation;
6. Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone slabs, large masonry slab blocks, marble, granite and tiles to construct walls, foundations in commercial, residential, and Municipality construction;
7. Lay bricks and masonry units to build residential and commercial fireplace, décor walls, chimneys and exterior mason veneer and panels;
8. Read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams; construct stone pillars and install light fixtures;
9. Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and other related activities

Minimum experience required:

Qualifications required: 
1. Completion of secondary school
2. More than 2 years of experience in construction industry, including experience with electrical/concrete structures
3. The ability to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
4. Able to cope with physical demand and have the ability to perform various types of physical labour including moderate to heavy lifting, standing, bending, shovelling, etc
5. Perform duties in inclement weather, with possible exposure to severe weather conditions
6. Experience in operating heavy equipment (excavator, backhoes, and loaders)
7. Ability to shape trim, face and cut stone preparatory to setting, using power saws, cutting equipment and hand tools.
8. Capable of reading and interpreting electrical drawings and circuit diagrams to determine wiring layouts
9. Capable of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
10. Able to work weekends and shifts
11. Criminal background check and clean driver’s abstract upon request, prior being selected for an interview
