Main functions: 
The Administrative Assistant to the Manager of Student and Campus Services, Moosonee Campus and the Acting Manager of Indigenous Services provides a variety of administrative and secretarial supports to the Moosonee Campus and a range of confidential executive, administrative support to the office of the Campus Manager.

DUTIES: The successful candidate will:
• participate on projects and assumes responsibilities in seeking and writing proposals for funding
• participate on College committees as assigned
• supervise support staff and provide direction to staff in the efficient and effective operation of Campus Services
• resolve staff and scheduling related conflicts
• assist with the formulation of budgets and reports
• provide administrative coverage to the Moosonee Campus in the absence of the Manager of Student and Campus Services, including signing authority for timesheets, invoices, purchase orders, request for time off
• develop, establish and maintain information tracking systems plus manuals and electronic schedules and filing systems
• compile reports and coordinates meetings and special events
• organize and expedites the flow of work through the Moosonee Campus
• provide assistance in the recruitment and hiring of staff
• be responsible for day to day work assignments, work flow and supervision of support staff in the Day Care, Maintenance Departments
and all staff when the Manager of Student and Campus Services is absent

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Minimum Two (2) Year Diploma – Office Administration - Executive;

Experience:
• 5 years’ experience in supporting administration/executive or a combination
• Excellent knowledge of college programs, academic and administrative organizational structures and issues would be preferred
• Variety of institutional administrative and secretarial experiences, including cross institutional experience such as facilities and academic
• Good knowledge of budget preparation and financial and administrative systems
• Advanced computer literacy skills, organizational skills, flexibility, tact, discretion and the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Experiencing working with Indigenous communities in strategic planning, action plans and community committees
• Experience as a supervisor or manager is an asset

Skills:
 Advanced organization and coordination of multiple initiatives
 Advanced ability to review, assess, coordinate and prioritize day-to-day office operations and activities including the development and implementation of effective office administrative procedures.
 Advanced proposal writing, communication, negotiation, conflict management and dispute resolution skills
 Effective project management skills
 Excellent computer literacy skills advanced proficiency using work processing, spread sheet and presentation software; email communications, financial information systems
 Excellent time management, prioritization, people and customer/client services skills
