Looking for a Companion for Elderly male in Ajax. This is a full time job Mon - Fri, $14.85 an hour for 40 hours a week. Sat & Sun off, 5 days sick leave and 10 days vacation with pay. This is long term job for at least two years commitment, if applicable. Note: optional, accommodation available on a live-in basis, this is not a requirement of employment.
Main duties:
Provide care and companionship for elderly and during periods of incapacitation, convalescence or family disruption. Administer bedside and personal care such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing. Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and assist in feeding.
May perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications.
May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.
May perform housekeeping and other home management duties under general direction of employer.
The elderly is a wheelchair bound, some lifting involved. Caregiver must be strong and exercise patience. Must have At least one (1) year experience or training in elderly care and must be at least high school graduate.
