Job Description:
• Prepare, cook and serve meals.
• Plan menus for special diets
• Shop for food and household supplies.
• Launder clothing and household linens.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning.
• Pay bills and take care of banking.
• Provide personal care.
• Provide companionship.
• Administer bedside and personal care.
• Feed or assist in feeding.
• Change non-sterile dressings
• Administer medications.
• Assist clients to walk.
• Aid employer with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Mental stimulation – including playing cards, watching television and recalling people/events to stimulate memory
Requirements
-Education: Some secondary school is required.
-Experience: Experience is an asset
-Language: As per the moderate dementia employer reverted to communicate in Hindi and Punjabi so ability to speak these languages will be an asset.
-Hours of work: The employee should begin at 11 am until 8 pm. This position requires flexibility in schedule too.
Important Information: Person receiving care has moderate dementia and other comorbidities, including congestive heart failure and kidney failure. Strict vegetarian diet is required because of her health conditions.

Other:
-Driver's validity licence is an asset
-Knowledge of Indian vegetarian cuisine is an asset
Salary: $13.50 to 15.50 per Hour, 40 hours per week.
