Licensed Servers are responsible for positive customer interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs, making them feel welcome. They prepare and serve food and alcohol products, accept orders, process payments, and maintain a clean work area. Servers will be required to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service on an ongoing basis
  • Receive and process customer orders accurately
  • Complete customer payment transactions accurately
  • Following guidelines set by Region of Peel with regard to food safety practices
  • Following guidelines and regulations set by AGCO with regard to alcohol practices
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Assist in general tidiness and proper cleaning practices
  • Follow and adhere to all opening and closing policies and procedures including printing/reviewing of reports and completing DSR packages and balancing of revenue at the end of each shift
  • Assist with event set-ups, service, food and beverage deliveries/set-ups, sales at Concessions, food and beverage services at golf courses, and cleanups/teardowns
  • Assist in inventory control and verification
Skills and Qualifications

  • Positive and enthusiastic with excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Silverware and EZLink POS Experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate required or willing to obtain within 6 months of start date
  • Food Handlers Certificate required or willing to obtain prior to starting
  • Smart Serve Certificate required or willing to obtain prior to starting
  • Criminal Record Check required prior to starting
  • Light lifting required
  • Food and Beverage Experience is a definite asset
  • Banquet and Event Experience is a definite asset
  • Must be able to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and a variety of early morning and late evening shifts

Hourly Rate/Salary: 17.09
Hours of Work: up to 24
Work Location: Civic Centre, Living Arts Centre, BraeBen Golf Course, Lakeview Golf Course, Marina, and Meadowvale Theatre
Organization Unit: CMS/Clock Tower Cafe and Banquet Hall
