1 Automotive Service Technician – Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostic Specialist (NOC 7321) position available at Toronto Auto Group, located at 2380 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1P 2R5

We are looking for an experienced automotive technician who is not only mechanically inclined but also specializes in performing advanced electrical diagnostics.

Main Duties Include:

Verify and confirm work order with service advisor and the service manager.

Perform motor vehicle safety inspection which include test driving and physically inspecting the vehicle and its wear and tear components.

Experience identifying diagnostic trouble codes.

Must be able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams in order to diagnose and repair all kinds of automotive electrical issues.

Must be experienced navigating OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Software and aftermarket supporting programs such as: Mitchell OnDemand, All Data, Mitchell ShopKey, and Chrysler DealerTrack.

Perform electrical system diagnostic with advanced electronic scan tools such as SnapOn Verus Pro, OTC, and Ford VCM.

Must be experience in repairing emission related onboard systems and emission monitor drive cycle completion. Must be comfortable working with emissions systems such as Evaporative Emissions System, Exhaust Gas Recirculation System, Positive Crank Case Ventilation System, Fuel Delivery and Consumption System, and Catalyst Systems in order to prepare vehicles for Ontario drive clean emission test.

Experience in programing, copying, and relearning tire pressure monitoring systems.

Perform repairs, diagnostic procedures and replace components on engines, transmission, drive train, suspension, steering, and brake systems.

Must also know how to utilize hard copy service manuals for automotive repairs.

Service and repair automatic and manual heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Performing manufacture’s recommended maintenance service, engine tune-ups and oil changes on engines, transmissions, differentials, power steering systems and brake systems.

Discuss the performance of the vehicle with the service manager and inform about any future maintenance requirements.

Conducting safe wastage of hazardous materials such as oils, engine coolant, scrap metal and used tires.



Requirements:

Red Seal Licensed 310S Automotive Technician

Diploma in Automotive Service and Motive Power

Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostic Specialist


Wage Rate:

$23 per hour, 40 hours per week.
