OPERATIONS MANAGER

We at Personnel Chez-Vous are very proud to be assisting a growing company in the West Island, making a mark in the jewellery industry. Our client is in the business of custom made jewellery and is growing exponentially. They are getting demands from major Television networks and A-List media publications for their jewellery. This organization is still being run and operated from a home office and shall soon be moving their operation to an office, in the West Island.

Reporting directly to the Designer-Owner, the Operations Manager’s core responsibility is to plan, schedule and organize the daily production and shipment of products. This includes dealing with overseas and domestic suppliers and coordinating sales to large scale wholesalers, e-commmerce sites and direct to consumer.


RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Supply management: ensuring steady supply of materials for production and shipment of products
• Inventory control: maintaining up-to-date and accurate inventory management system
• Customer service: issue resolution and responding to supplier, partner and client inquiries
• Social media: building the brand by handling social media accounts
• Fashion industry and marketing support: coordinating merchandise loans for stylists and events, collaborating and organizing photo shoots, development of lookbooks and other branding activities.
• Supervising a team of part-time staff ( at times more than 5 staff members )


JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment – comfortable working in a home setting for the time being ( comfortable with house cat ).
• Has the ability to set priorities and adapt as situations change
• Possesses solid planning, organization and decision-making skills
• Loves a challenge, is confident, ambitious, positive, creative and flexible
• D.E.C. or D.E.P.
• Strong written and oral English and oral French is a requirement. Written French is a strong asset.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in the business side of the fashion and retail industry is a strong asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is a requirement
