Principales fonctions: 
• Hands-on experience using a translation memory program (in particular MultiTrans- (Trados, LogiTerm, MultiTerme, etc)), is mandatory
• Ability to work under pressure and work with tight deadlines.
• A bachelor’s degree in translation or a related field would be considered an asset.
• 5 years plus translation experience would be considered an asset
• Detail oriented, judgment, superior organizational skills and a positive attitude.
• Significant experience in project coordination, preferably at a translation firm

Description détaillée: 
The employee will be expected to demonstrate delivery to the client of high-quality documentation on time.
The employee will also be expected to produce translations that are acceptable to both management and the Company’s clients. The employee will produce texts that require as little editing and correction as possible. When engaged solely on translation activities, the employee will be expected translate an average of 2,200 or more words per day.

Salary: Competitive salary, and much flexibility (i.e. 1 day/week offsite work permitted (home)
Responsibilities: To translate texts on various subjects, including TECHNICAL documentation from English to French.
To carry out research activities to gain a better understanding of the nature of the text he/she is translating at any time. This will typically involve lexicon and online research, in which the employee will be expected to be able to locate quickly and utilize material relating to the subject matter being translated.
