Mighty Cast is looking for a back-end developer to help build out its server infrastructure. The successful candidate will work within the Mighty Cast Technology team to develop, enhance, and maintain server-side applications. Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate should exhibit expertise and experience in Cloud development best practices, current trends, current limitations, and emergent technologies.
Job Responsibilities
• Architecture and Improvement of server-side modules.
• Designing and Exposing scalable web services for consumption by mobile, web and desktop clients.
• Ensure Scalability and DevOps by leveraging standard as well as emergent technologies.
• Integration with third-party systems, services and websites.
About you
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent experience;
• Extensive professional experience in high-volume server-side development;
• Intimacy with deployments and management of a multi-tier hybrid cloud environment;
• Excellent knowledge of UNIX systems, specifically BSD and Linux distributions;
• Excellent knowledge of concepts related to functional and concurrent programming;
• Extensive experience with interpreted languages.
• Demonstrated knowledge of emergent systems programming languages.
• Demonstrated knowledge of statistics in relation to Big Data analysis.
Assets
• Intimacy with the requirements and intricacies of full-stack software development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of modern software engineering practices;
• Positive attitude and an ability to provide and receive constructive criticism;
• Small company or Startup experience is preferred
• A passion for the advancement of state of the art technologies.
