Whether you have a stack of diplomas under your belt or you’ve been entirely self-taught, the important thing for us is that you are able to write clean, well documented code that you can take pride in. What you’ll be doing
As a senior developer, you’ll be overseeing every step of the development cycle. You’re ready to hit the ground running and dive right into the code, but you are also looking to take on a leadership role. Help us grow by guiding the developers under you and helping to build an awesome team. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and enhance existing applications in PHP
- Develop and maintain new web applications
- Help manage the development process and contribute to strategy and best practices
- Document and test your code
- Perform code verification (and give feedback) before deployment
- Plan and develop projects using the agile methodology
The skills you need
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge of PHP, object-oriented programming and the MVC design pattern
- Strong knowledge of database design and SQL (NoSQL experience a big asset)
- A desire to stay up-to-date on new technologies and share your knowledge with the team
- Ability to deal with constantly changing technical priorities
- Command of the english language. Spoken french.
The skills that would be great to have
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Experience with version control software (Git)
- Experience with memcache/redis
- Familiarity with AWS
- Mobile development experience
