Main duties and responsibilities:

The person we are seeking will play an active role within the research and development team while using a simultaneous engineering approach. On top of being a well-organized and detail-oriented individual, the ideal candidate must also be innovative and creative with the ability to work both independently and within a team. The tasks of this person will be shared amongst the areas of design, prototyping and laboratory.

Detailed description: 
Reporting to the Mechanical Team Leader, the main responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:

• Producing 3D designs of multiple parts products;
• Producing product specifications;
• Producing prototypes;
• Verifying the functioning of the product;
• Verifying production tooling;
• Verifying production parts;
• Other related duties as required.

DEC / AEC / DEP Industrial Designer with at least 1-3 years’ experience;

Working experience
Minimum experience required: 
1 year
Qualifications required: 
• Highly motivated in designing products in an R&D environment;
• Knowledge in designing complex parts using plastic injection, sheet metal stamping or cast aluminum;
• Fluent in French and working knowledge of English;
• Ability to communicate verbally in Mandarin not required, but beneficial
• Knowledge of 3D design tools;
• PTC Creo knowledge would be an asset.
