Our Client, a leader of devices' and parts' manufacturing in the Aerospace Industry is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer / Industrial Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the individual will be a Key player in the continuous improvement of the fabrication processes, Lean Manufacturing and the preventive maintenance. This position requires hands on engagement in the machining and tooling side of operations and requires a strong background in CNC machining and tooling technologies in order to achieve process improvement and sustainability. - Analyze the different metrics to identify problematic areas and processes. Propose projects and initiatives to improve the efficiency of these areas and processes. Coordinate, realize or participate to these projects/initiatives or others identified by the Management. Establish improvement target, measure progress and take necessary actions to achieve the target;
- Facilitation of the introduction of new products to production by leading DFM efforts;
- Coordinate with Contract Sales and Production/ Inventory Control to analyze the production steps and processes in order to minimize production cost, time and/or maximize production quality;
- Evaluate, recommend and implement new equipment or processes needed to meet the customer requirements;
- Recommend specific manufacturing equipment for purchase and /or lease by analyzing product design specification;
- Communicate with customer and/or vendor to resolve particular manufacturing issues;
- Coordination of tooling requirements for manufacturing procedures, communicate with floor /inspection (quality assurance) personnel on manufacturing issues and resolve any issues that arise;
- Development tooling and fixturing through CATIA.
