Main functions: 
Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist current Level III with audits (ASAT, NADCAP, PEER and Customer).
• Perform required calibrations and system checks.
• Become knowledgeable with Digital Radiography.
• Perform additional daily, weekly and monthly audits on Level I and Level II operators (PWC NDTCS, performance proficiency audit, and routine audits).
• Develop x-ray techniques both for film and digital (with guidance from L3).
• Help with Level II work standards.
• Assist Level 3 to review and address issues with customer returns.
• Support process engineering with defect interpretation and proper feedback of results for development of new parts and as required.
• Support production in film viewing on an as required basis.
• Help in projects to improve work area.
• Involved with training for all technicians (OJT and technical).
• Be a communication focal point for production.
• Perform the required periodic safety checks.
• Review customer specifications and industry standards.
• Assist product engineers with technical support as required.
• Assist in flow-down of customer requirements to part specific Product Criteria.
• Audit product criteria and activity instructions for accuracy and completeness.
• Daily input and review of Level II’s metrics.

Essential technical qualifications: Possess a technical College degree preferably in metallurgy or equivalent.


Professional designation: Industrial Radiographer Level II certification mandatory preferably
holding a current Can/CGSB- 48.9712, ASNT and/or NAS 410
certification.



Experience: Preferably have worked in a foundry environment and have 2-5
years of experience in preparing x-ray techniques, film
interpretation, x-ray of castings and weldments and be familiar
with aerospace customer specifications and industry standards.

Other skills: Bilingual, written and spoken (English & French).
Must be able to demonstrate basic skills in arithmetic.
Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings.
Must be computer literate (particularly with WORD, EXCEL, etc).
Preferably hold a Level II Liquid Penetrant certification.
