SUMMARY AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION :
Eager to continue its growth, our client is in search of Director Business Development for Eastern Canada and a 2nd Directort Business Development for Quebec.
The incumbent will be a member of the management committee and will be responsible for establishing new business relationships, maintaining solid relationships with existing advisors and insuring services offered by our client are well-known throughout our network. More specifically, this position encompasses the following:
• Play a key role in the development of the network in recruiting financial advisors in the areas of wealth management, mutual funds, securities, insurance and financial planning.
• Establish a solid relationship with existing advisors and business partners while staying in touch with issues or opportunities to improve services offered by our client.
• Promote and publicize to advisors all services offered.
• Communicate effectively with the management team any critical information to maintain a good business relationship.
• Work closely with the Integration team to ensure a smooth transition of new advisors.
• Attend to major industry events as well as those offered by our client.
• Keep up to date with new trends in the industry and stay aware of other institutions business models.
• Maintain a list of potential candidates.
• Active member of the Management committee and participate in various established corporate projects.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
• Undergraduate degree with 10 years’ experience in sales and business development
• Knowledge of the financial services industry will be considered as an asset
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or business development objectives
• Strong ability to convince and communicate
• Ability to do presentation in front of an audience
• Able to efficiently target needs and opportunities
• Known for his/her sincerity and integrity
• Strong communication skills, both in French and in English
