Our client, located on the island of Montreal, is looking for a Manager for Support Services.
Team leader for garage and service support, the successful candidate will be competent in forklift or heavy equipment mechanics. The team leader will have to meet the challenge of managing mechanics, repair priorities and expectations of the customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The supervision of road service
• Repairs in workshop
• Replacement parts retail
• Tracking of parts under warranty
• Rental of equipment
• Management of employees
ROLE:
• Managing customer
• Work with the parts department
• Reach objectives of repairs.
• Follow-ups of bids before, during and after the repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Rigorous follow-up on all repair work commissioned by the customer.
• Keep track of the worksheets, make sure they are closed and clear, clear and precise so as to avoid billing delays.
• Lead workshop mechanics and mechanics on the road; provide assistance in troubleshooting calls.
• Escalate the technical problems to the manufacturer through official channels and ensure resolution.
• Deal with the rental of the equipment. Ensure the maintenance and the functioning of rental equipment.
• See to the follow-up of the maintenance rolling stock (truck service, trailers, lifting equipment).
• Manage work for employees of care outside working hours.
• Tutoring staff in mechanics during repair work.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as Manager of service related to mechanics, including staff management
• Familiar with Word, Outlook and Excel. Having used an accounting system
• Bilingual (French and English - oral and written).
• Practical and empirical Quebec geography knowledge.
• Know the mechanics type hand truck-lift or light truck.
• Capable of balancing administrative tasks with supervision in the shop and road service.
