Detailed description: 
Within the limits of authorized company policies, procedures, programs and budgets, is responsible for and has commensurate authority to accomplish the duties set forth below:
- Develops objectives for the manufacturing functions in conformance with overall Company direction; design strategies to reach desired goals expressed in terms of comprehensive short and long-range goals.
- Develops and administers manufacturing policies, procedures and programs to serve as guidelines for assigned personnel.
- Organizes assigned functions to achieve stated objectives; periodically reviews these functions in terms of their effectiveness, and makes recommendations, as appropriate.
- Working with the VP of Engineering, ensures the development of industrial and manufacturing engineering programs and new areas of technology for the manufacturing functions along with sufficient planning to support the mission of the Company.
- Ensures the manufacture of Company products at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity.
- Directs the development of production plans and schedules by product to meet assigned estimates.
- Ensures timely and accurate production analysis, planning, scheduling and coordination of work flow through manufacturing processes.
- Ensure that standards of excellence are maintained and that quality results are achieved across the manufacturing function; that work attitudes, systems, processes and actions are directed toward continuous improvements; and that quality procedures exist and are updated as appropriate.
- Ensure preparation of a manufacturing budget and control of related expenses, exercising sound fiscal management. Including, controls costs through improved methods and when applicable piece rate savings consistent with productivity, quality, construct detail and employee relations guidelines.
