Strategic Supply and Production Planner
For over 20 years, our client, located in the West Island, has been offering a wide range of products, to Hospitals and Clinics, in Canada. It also has a strong global presence and is now seeking a Strategic Supply and Production Planner to be the liaison to 3 small departments: Purchasing - Production/Assembly - Shipping
The work environment is professional and very friendly from the President to the Receptionist. This organization believes strongly in work and life balance and being happy at work. Employees have access to an in-house gym and every Friday the office closes at 4pm.
The successful hires' main responsibility is to incorporate and create strategic efficiencies amongst the small assembly/manufacturing, purchasing and shipping teams, as well the documentation each has to provide.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Manage and develop relationships with subcontractors
• Streamline inefficiencies:
• Create and implement structure, resulting in the 3 small departments efficiently working together
• Ensure the quality of production
• Over see and control proper documentation from each department ( ISO )
• Ensure the necessary raw material is ordered and oversee inventory, managing purchases
• Implement efficient strategic assembly production
• Support master data parameters to ensure accurate signals for quantity and dates generated by ERP (i.e. production lead times, lot sizing, and safety stock) to minimize B/O
• Oversee ISL shipping as it relates to the production.
• Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing and purchasing teams, as well as CC Care.
• Oversee team performance for BMM production, Production Coordinator, and shipping.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• Strong command of the English language is necessary
• Experience in Manufacturing, Assembly and warehousing needed, minimum of 2 years
The successful hire is expected to take anywhere from 3 to 6 months to really learn and integrate into this role.
