General Responsibilities: Promotes the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions and recommends measures to reduce or eliminate accident and health hazards in compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations. Establishes, or recommends to management, major economic objectives and policies for company. Prepares reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Directs preparation of budgets. Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities. Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions. Insures enforcement of policies and procedures to protect and secure the company’s assets. Arranges for audits of company's accounts. Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies. Initiative Take action, initiate projects in pursuit of greater profitability, anticipate potential problems and address them early Communication Skills Communicate daily with all appropriate personnel, complete written reports as required on a timely basis Action Oriented Enjoys working hard; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning. Experience/Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, with 5+ years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
