Main functions: 
The primary goal of the Inside Support – Business Development position is to ensure an optimal customer service experience throughout the order fulfillment process. The individual in this role must ensure that orders are processed accurately and must follow up with production to ensure timely delivery. This individual will also respond to some sales inquiries and participate in sales-related activities.

Specific Duties: 1. Assist clients with product selection,
understanding of technical information on the products 2. Process orders for products 3. Provide pricing to clients (end users, distributors and dealers) 4. Coordinate with production to manufacture the product 5. Follow up with production, engineering and shipping to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner 6. Communicate delays in advance to clients 7. Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems 8. Collaborate with sales department for client follow up 9. Solicit sales of new or additional services or products. 10. Analyze product sales & trends to make suggestions for marketing, communications and production planning to better meet client needs and enhance the customer service experience 11. Recommend improvements in products,
packaging, shipping, service, or billing methods and procedures to prevent future problems. 12. Obtain and organize client feedback in order to gain business intelligence and become proactive in meeting clients’ needs 13. Coordinate with government agencies for international and domestic markets to assist with marketing & sourcing of distributors and agents through the Canadian Trade Commissioners Office and other agencies. 14. Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken. 15. Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, or adjusting bills. Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.

Qualifications required: 
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology. Knowledge of electronic equipment/systems, and computer hardware and software, including inhouse ERP, applications and programming for client account management and data entry. Executing sales or other financial transactions.
Discussing goods or services information with customers. Promoting products. Preparing documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance. Managing one's own time. Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. The ability to organize and process critical information.Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Keeping uptodate technically and applying new knowledge to your job. Processing Information: compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data. Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Effective communication with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or email.
