We have an immediate opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist at Swan Valley Health Centre located in Swan River, Manitoba. In this full-time, permanent role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • collaborate with a talented multidisciplinary team - including Occupational Therapy, Audiology, and Physiotherapy - to provide Speech-Language Pathology services for our 0-5 yrs. clients
  • utilize a client/family-centered approach in providing appropriate treatment options and planning
  • work in a newly renovated facility with increased capacity to meet patients' needs

Position Overview

Reporting to the Regional Manager - Therapy Services, the provides leadership in the care of clients contributing in the assessment, planning, development, organization, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care related to the profession of Speech-Language Pathology in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set out for Speech-Language Pathologists by the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Manitoba.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology preferred

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
  • Eligibility for membership in Speech-Language and Audiology Canada

Qualifications and Skills

  • Skilled ability in the assessment, identification, and treatment of clients of varying ages and with diverse diagnoses
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both written and verbal

Physical Requirements

  • Must be in good physical and mental health and be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting.
  • Must be able to work under stress and time constraints.
