ANIMATORS
Partners for Life is an outreach program that aims to raise awareness on teen depression offered by the Mental Illness Foundation. The program’s primary goal is to educate teen to identify signs and symptoms of depression and the steps to direct a person in psychological distress to the right resources. Since its inception in 1998, the program has reached more than 995 690 teens, parents and school staff in more than 600 French and English schools! We are therefore looking for English, bilingual, and French animators.

Job description:
• Animate team-led workshops on adolescent depression as part of a province-wide outreach program
• Popularize in a dynamic way an educational contents
• Reach out to teens and guide them, if necessary, toward available resources
• Represent the Mental Illness Foundation within the educational community
• Fill out various reports

Qualifications required: 
• Availability to travel throughout Quebec province and in the Ottawa region
• Valid driver’s license recognized in the province of Quebec
• Prior experience in animation or as workshop facilitator
• Public speaking skills
• Drive, team spirit and ability to work on the road
• Personable and flexible attitude and strong capacity to adapt
• Experience working with youth is considered an asset
• Experience delivering educational content in a public speaking capacity is considered an asset
• Experience in intervention is considered an asset
