An immediate opening is available for a full-time VAN Sample Prep Worker position based in Vancouver, BC and performs duties relating to the processing of client samples for analysis, including using equipment to crush, pulverize and/or sieve rock samples. This is a physically demanding position working afternoon shift (3 pm to 11 pm) or night shift (11 pm to 7 am) hours in a fast-paced environment. Working overtime and on weekends may be required as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare rock samples by crushing, pulverizing or sieving using appropriate equipment as instructed Ensure fast and accurate processing of samples Use of barcode scanner as required Comply with all laboratory safety Other tasks as assigned or required from time to time Experience and Qualifications Minimum completion of high school Able to communicate in English, both verbal and written On-the-job training will be provided, previous production work is an asset Must be available to work afternoon shift hours (3 to 11 pm) and/or night shift hours (11 pm to 7 am) Other Specifications Starting wage of $15.50 per hour Plus shift premium for both afternoon and night shifts Scheduled shuttle service provided to & from Marine Drive Skytrain station.
