Main functions: 
Due to our rapid expansion, we are hiring for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager. This is a seasoned professional who can explain Quality Management concepts and principles including supporting systems and tools to different stakeholders. The ideal candidate should demonstrate team leadership, understand team dynamics and able to assign team member roles and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Define improvement areas by project basis and lead corporate-wide improvement efforts Create and maintain quality management program documentation (ex. work instructions, forms, operating procedures) Define and develop project plans to manage, track, and measure progress Utilize statistical analysis, and apply statistical process control for identified projects Work with Engineering and Production teams to develop and implement improvement plans and track process changes Identify improvement areas between teams Track corrective action reports for customer complaints and internal quality issues Monitor corrective action activities Adheres to all safety procedures and practices Perform all quality control procedures completely and accurately Any other ad-hoc assignments as may require Knowledge Thorough understanding of the define, measure, analyze, improve, and control (DMAIC) model Basic knowledge of lean enterprise concepts Able to identify nonvalue-added elements and activities Able to use specific tools Understanding of project definition as well as team roles and responsibilities Understanding of the measure phase, including process mapping, data collection plans and techniques, understanding variation, and visually displaying baseline performance Understanding of the analyze phase, including displaying data visually, cause and effect analysis, and verification of root causes Learning of the improve phase, including brain-storming, selecting a solution, and implementation planning Understanding of the control phase, including assessing the results of process improvement, statistical process control overview, and documenting the process. Qualifications & Abilities Certified Six Sigma Black Belts with at least 5 years of Quality Management Experience preferably within a Manufacturing environment Formal quality control system training Strong knowledge of process improvement and statistical analysis techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong presentation capability; ability to develop and present content to all staff Strong understanding of quality control processes, techniques and procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Candidate with Less Experience will be considered as Continuous Improvement Officer Please submit your resume to [email protected] For a full list of our job openings, please visit www.fpscorp.ca/careers FPS Food Process Solutions Corp. is an equal opportunity employer, and we thank you for your interest in the position.
