About us Northern Lights Transport Ltd., incorporated in 2006, is a licensed and bonded trucking company providing long haul trucking services throughout Canada and contiguous United States. Currently we are looking for a full-time Safety Manager for purpose of protecting the safety of workers and vehicles, preventing casualties and damage caused by accidents, and ensuring the normal progress of transportation and operations of our company. Expectations and work aims: Establish and improve safety management rules, regulations, and systems according to the latest provincial and federal safety management policies and acts; Set up the safety goals of the company and work out annual & monthly safety work plans; Conduct employee safety knowledge education and arrange for related trainings regularly; Organize periodic inspection, repair, and maintenance of all company vehicles to troubleshoot potential safety hazard and eliminate risk; Supervise purchase of diversified special insurances for drivers and vehicles; Oversee safety violation conduct of drivers and truckers, reward those observants, and punish violators; Take part in meetings and safety trainings organized by clients, industry associations, government or third-party safety organizations on behalf of the company; Report traffic accidents to company principal, take corresponding emergency measures, investigate accident cause, follow up claim settlement, and write accident analysis reports; Keep a record of standing books related to safety and accident rate; Education, experience and ability requirements: University degree or college diploma, in transportation, logistics, or safety management-related fields preferred; 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight traffic industry required; Experience in safety management; High sense of responsibility and professional dedication; Excellent personnel management skills, communication skills, and team cooperation skills; Adherence to principles and rules; Active, attentive, patient.
