As part of our campus team, you will contribute to that success! Our Kelowna campus is looking for an Accounting Instructor who is available on a casual basis. Starting November 26 teaching for 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, for 4 weeks with availability for either morning classes (8:30-12:30) or afternoon classes (1:00-5:00). The double-entry accounting (introductory course) repeats every 4 months. They are also looking for the instructor to teach Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) software for 2 weeks starting after the introductory accounting course. This isn't a full-time position, but a casual to part-time position. You need an Accounting Diploma or certification plus relevant experience. You must know debits and credits and the accounting cycle. You must understanding financial statements, inventory, COGS, Adj Je's, Bank Rec's, aging accounts, payroll, etc. Previous teaching experience is an asset. The Instructor needs to be able to adapt their teaching strategies to accommodate multiple learning styles and personalities.
