A Bit About Us Are you an electrician looking for steady work, with a reputable company? Nightingale Electrical is always looking for motivated individuals with a positive attitude to join our team. Our work consists mainly of high-rise buildings, commercial work, and wood frame complexes/apartment buildings. Some of our most recognized jobs include the Shangri-La hotel in downtown Vancouver, Aldergrove Recreation Centre, IKEA Coquitlam, Jim Pattison Outpatient Hospital, Langley Events Centre, and the Canada Post facility in Richmond. Chances are you've seen many of our residential high-rise buildings, and maybe even live in one of them! Our projects include River Green Residences near the Oval in Richmond, Centreview in North Vancouver, Bayshore Gardens in Coal Harbour, Central in downtown Vancouver, Sutter Brook Village in Port Moody, and many more. Required Qualifications: Electrical Trade Schooling (either Pre-Apprentice program or level 1, 2, 3, or 4 schooling) Ability to transport yourself to any job site (typically within the Lower Mainland or North Shore) Ability to consistently lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds Key Attributes: Excellent attendance and punctuality A positive, can-do attitude High attention to detail and commitment to completing quality work Ability to follow through with instructions and the courage to ask for guidance when needed High regard for safety Solid work ethic- responsible, trustworthy and strives to do their best work every day Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor work; exposure to unfavourable weather conditions such as rain and cold temperatures Depending on the task, you may be involved in repetitive motions such as splicing Perform physically demanding tasks: moving and lifting heavy objects; frequent bending, crouching, kneeling Working from heights (on ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts) Working in constructions zones with potential safety hazards- exposed elements, clutter, unfinished/uneven floors, etc. Locations are spread across the Lower Mainland You are responsible for your transportation to and from job sites Benefits: Extended health and dental plan Tool Allowance Reimbursement for training courses Company social events Opportunity for advancements into Lead Hand/Foreman roles We are a performance-based company- the sky is the limit!
