Systems Engineer - Advanced Industrial Automation We have a need for super-sharp systems engineer with a diverse background, experience, knowledge and hands-on skills for the following: ? IT systems, server/client networking, VLAN/TCP/IP, Domain Control, WSUS, AV, Backup Systems ? Linux & Windows OS, Visual Basic, C++, Python and general web technology ? Plant production and industrial application development and deployment The majority of work will be at the customer site in Port Moody and through our virtual office; occasionally meetings are held in Vancouver. Job Duties ? Safe & responsible practices adhering to safe work methods, procedures and plans ? Specialized controls & logic configuration and programming automationX projects and support ? Site start-up support and commissioning, technical support and troubleshooting ? Test bench: Simulation of operation - pre-installation ? Honeywell DCS systems & technical support working with site operations ? Process system networks, client and server support, and configuration ? Project organization, documentation and management ? Planning and performing system upgrades, feasibility/cost studies and preliminary engineering ? Learning automationX systems ? Collaboration and communication with clients and partners ? About You Knowledge and skills required: ? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent written and spoke English this is a client facing position ? Able to create engineering work plans, reports, drawings and other documentation ? Control logic, PID or regulatory controls?Control language programs ? Ladder and Boolean systems?Honeywell DCS, Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC systems ? C++ programming ? IT/ Network support experience ? Strong working knowledge of Honeywell systems ? Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree We are seeking those with of minimum 3 years work experience in Distributed Systems (DCS), PLC's, I/O systems and computer-based automation. Strong preference if you (are): ? Highly organized & detail-oriented ? Excel in self-directed work and enjoy working independently ? Comfortable with ambiguity and ask smart questions ? Have experience in oil and gas distribution ?
