Qualifications Education & Experience Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP). Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring Technologist
Under the direction of the surgeon, the Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring Technologist will possess the background knowledge for both theory and practice as well as experience and critical thinking skills to independently perform diagnostic procedures during central and peripheral neurological surgeries to help to anatomically identify physiological changes during surgery. Intraoperative neurophysiological tests may include, but are not limited to: SSEP, MEP, EMG, EEG AND BAEP. The primary goal is to assist in preserving neurological function during surgery and preventing untoward deficits. To this end, the technologist jointly performs monitoring procedures during surgery and promptly notifies the surgical team should there be any changes in the neurophysiological monitoring parameters. Participates in conferences and technical meetings is essential. The technologist will establish further training and monitoring procedures. |

While the Operator is responsible for all functions in accordance with duties defined in the job description for the Co-generation/Building Operator, the primary focus will be preventive and demand maintenance of all of the Co-generation Plants. May be assigned to work at any HHS site. |
