LifeLabs is currently looking for a Lab Patient Technician to join our team in Sudbury, ON (65 Larch St). As a Lab Patient Technician you will be responsible for the specimen collection process, from greeting patients through to preparation of specimens for transportation. This is an important role in patient care and our business, and will let you see the difference that you make in patients' lives. This is a part-time role working up to 20 hours per week suitable for an individual with a flexible schedule and includes the opportunity to pick up additional shifts at other LifeLabs locations. In this role you will: Greet and request required information from patients, explain the specimen collection process, and ensure patients have followed necessary test protocol prior to specimen collection. Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings. Perform special test collections, such as medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials, and complete related documentation. Maintain client relationships, including responding to inquiries and following up on requests. Complete data entry of required patient demographics, requisition information, and other information related to processing test results. Prepare specimens for transportation and testing. The right person for this role will be focused on great customer/patient service, and be able to relate to patients and clients even in stressful situations. Some key qualities include: empathy, flexibility, adaptability to change, and problem solving skills. Other requirements include Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent. Phlebotomy experience. Excellent communication skills. Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm. Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality. Risk analysis: project forecasting, liaising with EPC and subcontractors are daily occurrences in these positions. The Project Coordinator directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering and construction requirements within the scope of a specified project. What is the Opportunity? Carries out detailed constructability reviews to develop the project schedule, manpower and procurement requirements. Plans and implements an engineering and construction program, including defining the project plan, activities, milestones, and manpower requirements. Provides status report of project milestones and adjustment to schedules. Identifies project manpower requirements and coordinates manpower with appropriate trades and subcontractors. Shifts of work will be scheduled DAYS rotating from 09:30 to 16:00 About this location/unit: Columbia View Lodge (CVL) opened in 1977 and is currently a Long-term Care Site with 76 beds. There are four units, one is a secure unit for special care residents and the other three have a mixed population. Six of these beds are short stay beds (community palliative, respite, convalescent). The Adult Day program runs 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) for those clients living in the community, along with a community bathing program (Monday to Friday). There is a kitchen that prepares meals and housekeepers that clean the building for the residents. Personal laundry is washed in-house while bedding and towels go to a regional location to be cleaned. Adult Day Service has anywhere between 5 - 35 client active clients in the program. Supervisor - Marine Terminal
SUPERVISOR: NO ROUTINE, EVERY DAY CHALLENGE - ACTION - LEADERSHIP - OUTSIDE WORK The Supervisor is a full member of the marine terminal management team. He is responsible for managing the loading and unloading operations of the vessels, while supervising the handling of our customers' cargo.
