About this location/unit: East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) is located in Cranbrook, British Columbia where we provide hospital services to residents of the East Kootenay Health Service Area and care for over 80,000 patients a year. Our Emergency Department has a 16 bed ED including a Trauma room. Patients in the ED have CTAS scores from 1-5 and our patients range from walking wounded to trauma, pediatrics and psychiatric. Our ED works in conjunction with the High Acuity Response Team and outlying facilities in both receiving and transferring patients. We have a helicopter pad on site with frequent transfers with STARS (Alberta Flight). Act with pace and efficiency during investigations and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints, trends and non-conformances ensuring that root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions are implemented. Surveyors will be responsible for coordinating and laying out various aspects of construction projects with a high level of accuracy, ensuring the design criteria is adhered to and well documented. Some of the knowledge and experience we will be looking for includes, but is not limited to, the following: Maintain and verify provided control network. Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated. Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of survey requirements to facilitate construction activities. Maintain accurate survey records, documentation, and stamped submittals. Provide layout at various stages of construction. Monitoring, organize and manage survey operations and personnel. Provide clear communication with client in a professional manner. Manage as-builts information and digital records. Required Knowledge and Skills Post-secondary education in Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Engineering. 2-3 years experiences with survey practices and standards. 2-3 years of experience in Construction surveying industry 2-3 years experiences using office, data, surveying, and engineering-based software. 2-3 years with GPS and total station experience required 2-3 years experience with engineering design and survey methods. Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift 50lbs. Available to travel to various projects. Drivers license (Class G). Drivers Abstract required.
