Provide or assist the client with mobility as per care plan to include but not be limited to; assists client into and out of bed; assists with walking/exercise programs; uses proper transfer techniques utilizing transfer belts, mechanical lifts and other appropriate equipment; assists in transport of clients to an dfrom other departments as required and as per the care plan. Assists with the intake and management of referrals; coordinates and schedules client appointments for therapists as applicable. Provide or assist the client with necessary safety measures (as per policies and procedures) including side rails, seat belts, wheelchair foot pedals, assist in the management of disoriented or aggressive clients or visitors. Documents client interaction and treatments according to regional protocols and policies. Investigates, obtains quotes and orders client equipment as instructed. Identifies safety issues related to equipment. Retrieves, distributes, cleans, stores, labels and records equipment as requested by the therapist. Tracks and enters data into the statistical tracking systems. Other duties as assigned. |
