Primary Job Duties:
• Analyze and expand business operations toward sustained growth in the Canadian HVAC equipment wholesale/retail market
• Monitor revenue streams from various product lines and identify opportunities to increase profitability and cross-selling strategies while reducing operations cost
• Design market research questionnaires, conduct business research on the HVAC equipment market, analyze buying habits and preferences of wholesale and retail consumers
• Design universal marketing strategies and programs to increase market share across regions and assist with establishing channel partnerships overseas
• Evaluate and improve sales through various marketing campaigns, design and build e-commerce platforms with IT teams to expand market and brand awareness
• Maintain and track sales records in the business management system, manage logistics, order placement, vendor relationships, customer utilization and technology
• Identify and develop new lines of business based on consumer behaviour and perform competitor analysis toward obtaining an increased market share across regions
• Develop client relationships and strengthen industry partnerships including wholesale distributors, logistics and manufacturing companies
• Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts to attract new business and enhance the organization’s reputation
• Close new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts
• Liaise with Marketing, Management, and After-sales service team to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue and building national partnerships
• Conduct financial analysis to optimize and transform the value proposition, operational model, strategic direction, and business model of a company
• Monitor and evaluate effects of ongoing business programs, provide alternative policy solutions, supported by evidence
• Translate the findings of fundamental research into policy options and stakeholders to foresee the effects of fact-based decision

Minimum qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, commerce, or a related field is required
• 3+ years of professional experience in business development or business support in the small engine market is required
• Previous experience in building and supporting North American HCAV/other small engine & mechanics business partnerships is preferred
• Proven track record of working with rapidly changing deadlines and having an ability to move in a fast-paced environment
• Good team player with a history of working well across organizations with both staff and management levels
• Strong commercial awareness with marketing or business consultation experience would be considered an asset
• Knowledge ratio analysis, common-size statement, comparative statements, trend analysis, funds flow statement and cash flow statement, FP&A software tools would be considered an asset
