We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join us.

Job details
- Salary $22-$25 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week (Permanent full-time)
- Work Location: 6401 Langstaff Road, Vaughan, ON, L4L 1A5
- Start date: As soon as possible

Duties:
• Directly report to office manager;
• Coordinate the daily planning and scheduling of incoming and outgoing shipments and transportation;
• Organize and monitor the international and domestic transportation service;
• Ensure that processes and documentation are in compliance with customs regulations and legislation; Prepare, understand, and verify all outbound load documents, including but not limited to bills of lading, customs declarations, certificates of origins and packing lists;
• Liaise and negotiate with logistic service suppliers and supply-chain work units;
• Arrange warehouse, communicate with warehouse supervisors and other staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in load planning and freight processes;
• Ensure operational excellence by maximizing the full utilization of loads and efficiency of deliveries and work with business partners to prioritize logistics/transportation activities;
• Negotiate rates, lease agreements, third party freight or external warehousing agreements with input from Senior Management;
• Help to develop and implement operational strategy and key performance indicators and effectively manage resources to ensure achievement of targets;
• Coordinate changes to lineups, schedule appointments, verification of shipments, freight costs and equipment maintenance;
• Manage month-end inventory and cycle count of finished goods and warehouse;
• Support employee development and ensure necessary training is received;
• Motivate and engage employees, provide leadership and direction, and evaluate employee performance;
• Personally commit and provide strong leadership in health and safety

Requirement:
• College Diploma (High school graduate with over 5 years of related experience will also be considered);
• Minimum 1-year relevant experience in logistic industry;
• Supervising or managing experience is required;
• Knowledge of international customs, shipping and logistic processes;
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
