Main functions: 
We are looking for a hands-on experienced Quality Supervisor for our customer’s fleet in the Toronto area. The Quality Supervisor will work alongside the Manager, Operations Team and Carrier, and is responsible for the support of all fleet related activities.
The supervisor is responsible to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the maintenance of the trucks as well as the customer service compliance for each location with each transportation supplier. You will be the catalyst between Store Managers and Carrier. Most of the time the work will be on site between locations, while a small proportion of the time is spent in office for administratively driven tasks. Regular traveling to all company sites is a requirement of this job.

Detailed description: 
Manage Transportation Supplier:
• Establish working relationship with store Manager and Carrier;
• Ensure Daily Inspections of equipment;
• Inspect daily, and record results;
• Troubleshoot issues with drivers during deliveries;
• Troubleshoot complaints from customers;
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local guidelines regarding routing time and drivers' hours of service;
• Share feedback on performance of outbound transportation staff with the transportation supplier;


Day to Day duties:
• Direct, control and manage the activities for each location;
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures, including best practice;
• Provide job coaching, training, and continual feedback to personnel and vendors.
• Organize and execute ongoing servicing, operation, maintenance, and repair of the truck fleet
• Diagnostic decision-making to assess vehicle damages to improve turnaround time and vehicle performance
• Support the management of the performance, and ongoing relationships with external vendors (e.g. mechanics, etc.)
• Monitor, analyze and modify fleet operations to maximize return on investment and manage costs where possible;
• Identify and lead actions to support field business challenges and opportunities
• Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure operational support solutions are in place;
• Complete other activities as deemed valuable by management

Must be able to work any shift Sunday-Saturday to support the company's business needs and remain available during off hours for consulting and intervening during emergencies.

• 5 years related experience, preferably in a supervisory position
• Previous experience in transportation
• Food Service experience an asset
