Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: High River, Alberta
Experienced Required: 3 years or more OR Completion of a Meat Cutting Certificate Program
Salary: $20.80-$ 23.05 Hourly, for 40 hours per week. Bonus and other benefits as per collective agreement. Medical, Dental Benefits, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits, Pension Plan Benefits, RRSP Benefits, Vision Care Benefits.
Overtime is at time and a half.
Education: Completion of high school, some college/CEGEP/ vocational or technical training
Specific Skills: Cut carcasses, sides and quarters. Cut, trim and prepare specialized cuts of meat, remove bones from meat, prepare special orders.
Additional Skills: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, tight deadlines, fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, attention to details, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, hand-eye coordination
Essential Skills: Communication, working with others, critical thinking, continuous learning
• Experience in detailed meat cutting for further added value
• Knowledge in food safety
• Experience in production environment deboning beef carcasses
• Certificate of Meat Cutting Program (preferred)
